  • Base Coats

  • Primer

Right sprayer can be used as a medium to spray paints. There are a lot of varieties of primers as such oil based and even water based. Mostly oil based primers are preferred before using oil paints. Especially when painting wood.  Plaster is primed with latex paint in which 10 percent water is added which is known as mist coat. A stable primer is used for powdery surface. Tiles and melamine are dealt with special primers.

  • First Coat

 Before a finish coat is applied. One or two coats of paint are applied to build opacity.

  • Pale first coat for pale finish coat
  • Dark first coat for dark finish coat

Oil based first coats are suitable for interior and even exterior use.

  • Quality:

There is a big difference in durability. If the wall paints are expensive, they will be more washable. They will also be offered as a scrub resistance. Contrary to this, if wall paints are cheap in price it will be easily washed off. Quality matters, because another benefit is that they do not spatter. They contain an anti—spattering agent. This most probably avoids mess.

Sponging is also known as rag rolling is texture wall paint. It is very easy. Just paint your wall with whatever color you prefer. After the base coat is dry, use a sponge roller and dab the other color you want on top of it.

Top-quality paint on wall stays for at least 10 years. Whereas, an average quality paint would last for few years.  Remember, most of the cost of the painting project is in labor.
